Snaplight on SnapWillum

I have been following SnapWillum for some time and this guy never cease to amaze me. Every single snap is a miniature masterpiece. He should have his own museum. Huge fan! See more of his work on Instagram.

What SnapWillum Have to Say About His Snaps

I spend quite some time making snapchatpieces, reason why is because I like to put myself into an environment where in im free to create what I like! I'm not always satisfied but I do love to see what my brain comes up with.  So now my Illustrations really grow on my iphone, i really dont use examples just a blank page and then moving into some kind of 'meditation' I think is the best word and I just let it flow!

Also I think, everybody likes his feeling of importance and I just wanted to leave my fingerprint here before i go and I thought socialmedia will be one of the key things marking this 20th century and I figured snapchat is a good way to show people what i can do without spamming them Because my atelier is free,  and its liquid! everybody in the whole world can zip 9 seconds from my fountain almost everyday haha.

Swirly strokes, impressionistic portraits - this guys's snaps remind me of Vincent van Gogh.

What RandyCalzone Have to Say About His Snaps

My name is max and I was introduced to snapchat this summer. My early dabblings with the drawing tool had some success but when I found the rest of the color palette so many doors were opened. The thing that really got me was the ability to backspace on a mark, I come from a fine arts background on paper and this is my ticket to the digital end of art which I previously dreaded the idea of. It put the power to create literally at my fingertips, this feeling was and is envigorating. I've gotten back the spark in art that I've been longing to get back for a long time :).

Abombcutiexo puts a little comical twist on the classical paintings and familiar subjects. And kudos for rockn' that amazing beard! See more of Abombcutiexo art on his Instagram.

What Abombcutiexo Have to Say About His Snaps

I tend to enjoy any art form that combines the sacred with the profane. I like taking things I love and making them ugly; things I hate and making them pretty; basically any juxtaposition of opposites that sparks familiarity and disgust simultaneously. It's an endlessly fun line to cross.

Snaplight on Kerriannstj

The community of Snapchat artists never cease to amaze me. Snapchat is such a simple drawing tool, but artists from all over use it in incredible ways. Kerri Ann has done an amazing job with the tool and created amazing recreations of famous artworks. Check out her Tumblr and Instagram to see more of her stunning masterpieces.

What Kerriannstj Have to Say About Her Snaps

For me, snapchat art is as much the process as the end product. I love how I'm almost forced to do the entire work in one sitting and can't always just 'undo' or 'erase' mistakes like in other mediums. It's frustrating, especially when snapchat glitches and an entire work is lost, not to mention the sometimes painstaking hour-long process that goes into the final picture. I think it's very rewarding to know that I could never replicate the snap in exactly the same way - it makes each work unique. I do snapchat art for the challenge, trying to paint some of history's greatest artworks and other artworks that speak to me with my own personal twist and adaptations for a contemporary medium. There's a sense of satisfaction to be able to draw sometimes complex pictures despite snapchat's limitations, especially without using a stylus. A lot of my friends and other snapchat artists have become invested in my work and I'm always happy to satisfy a request - I love how something so simple as a 10-second picture on a phone can put a smile on someone's face!
